A New Idea

One of my goals is to begin thinking, writing, and discussing in further depth the art of photography. I want to pick it apart and figure out what it is to me. This is one of the steps I think is necessary to get motivated and stay focused on my artistic goals.

My hope is to fill this page with other artists, not only photographers, than inspire me. To talk about what a photograph is, what it can be, or even what it could have been. And to post my own work and invite others to discuss.

This is really replacing the part of a structured education that I miss the most, the critique. Talking about peer's works and hearing about my own work really forced me to grow as an artist and motivated me to continue struggling with my own work.

So, here we go. I've set a pace of once a week for a post. This is spaced enough to be realistic, but I must be weary of the laziness it could result in. Wish me luck!
