The Apathetic Rebellion

On the anniversary of the fifth year--yes we have been in Iraq for over five years now--a group of people gathered at the Civic Center in San Francisco to protest our occupation. It was the smallest number of people in the last five years. There were still arrests, but the actions felt so guided and tame. It was a gloomy day.

In front of me there were speeches, rallying the resistence for the march. The speakers were tired and almost off subject. I felt disillusioned. The media, behind me, didn't help the feeling. These photos will be displayed together. They are each 40" by around 100" long.
